As the third greatest killer in the U.S. behind heart disease and cancer, COPD is under diagnosed and under treated. NHBLI sought to understand and close the diagnosis gap. The National Institute of Health’s National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) needed to increase awareness of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in the American population as well be viewed as the thought leader in recognizing and assisting those with COPD.
Porter Novelli created a comprehensive brand for the COPD awareness campaign, increasing awareness amongst the general population in recognizing and seeking assistance with COPD. The campaign focuses on the important role of loved ones as well as healthcare providers in driving the conversation to having American’s “Learn More, Breathe Better”.
